IRT Test Assembly Using Genetic Algorithms
Door: Verschoor, A.J. | 01-01-2004 This paper introduces a new class of optimisation methods in test assembly: Genetic Algorithms (GAs).In the first part an overview is given of the concepts and principles of GAs, in the second part they are applied to three commonly used test assembly models using Item Response Theory. Simulation studies are performed in order to find conditions under which GAs can be successfully used.
